Although this will scraper will get the bottom of your boots clean, it is very difficult to use. In order for the scraper to remain still while in use, it needs to be on a rug. Then all the mud and yuck goes on to the rug it is sitting on. If you put it on a solid floor you must step on one side to keep it from moving while you brush off the other boot which can be a trick for some people.
Attractive and usefulFebruary 3, 2009 Joel Morgovsky(Red Bank, New Jersey) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought three boot scrapes this year to replace old ones that lasted 20+ years. I like this one the best. It is both attractive and effective. Since it sits near our main entrance it needs to be reasonably attractive and it does look nice by the door on our deck. The light brown bristles, bound by wire mesh, are long enough and stiff enough to do a good job cleaning snow and dirt off of shoes and boots prior to entering the house. If you have major mud and heavy dirt I suggest the Scrusher, but this is just right for most needs. It was a very nice purchase and I recommend it to you.
They work greatFebruary 2, 2009 Steve W(San Francisco Bay Area) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've not had much success with other products like this, for cleaning snow and muck off outside boots and shoes. But these are great. They are now half way through their first winter, and look just like new.
And when they get dirty - just hose them down, and allow them to dry.
They've worked for me (I have one by the front door, and one in the garage), so I'd recommend them.

I have used this product (or one like it) for years. It works well and lasts for years if kept out of the weather. It will degrade if repeatedly allowed to get wet.
Works greatApril 25, 2008 Just a guy(Westchester, NY) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This works great. It doesnt need to be attached to anything if you stand on the side you aren't wiping. It does a great job of getting off dirt and mud. It does tend to spray the debris around, so be careful if you set it up facing a wall - the wall will need to be cleaned.
